ISTANBUL - Industry Minister Issam Al-Zaim of Syria and accompanying delegation met on Monday with Turkish businessmen.
Al-Zaim could not attend the meeting organized by the Turkish-Syrian Business Council. He met with Turkish businessmen at the dinner hosted following the meeting in which investment opportunities between Turkey and Syria were discussed.
Speaking at the meeting on behalf of Al-Zaim, Deputy Industry Minister Bereket Sahin of Syria said that Turkey was one of the most important countries making trade with Syria.
Noting that annual trade volume between Turkey and Syria had reached 1 billion U.S. dollars, Sahin said that the two countries had been carrying out more than 10 joint projects in Syria.
