BINGOL - Security forces killed two terrorists in an operation against terrorist PKK/KADEK organization in eastern province of Bingol.
Bingol Governor Huseyin Avni Cos said on Monday that security forces launched a large scale operation in the region after terrorists had killed Ali Keles, the village chief of Dosekkaya in Genc town, on June 9.
Noting that as a result of their operation, security forces had clashed with PKK/KADEK terrorists in rural area near Yeni Mahalle hamlet in Yumakli village of Bingol the day before, Cos said that two terrorists were killed in the clash.
Noting that security forces found shelters of terrorists in the rural area of Karliova town during the operation, Cos said that security forces confiscated a RPG-7 rocket propelled grenade launcher, a G-3 A1 rifle and three Kalashnikov rifles, and a lot of bullets, food and illegal documents.
Cos said that under the operation, security forces also detained seven people on charges of aiding and abetting terrorists in Karliova.
He added that those people were sent to prison.
