Goksu: We Want To Develop Cultural, Commercial And Tourism Relations With South Africa

IZMIR - Izmir Governor Yusuf Ziya Aksu said on Monday that Izmir wanted to improve cultural, commercial and tourism relations with South African Republic.
South African Ambassador to Turkey Sobizana Mngqikana visited the same day Izmir Governor Aksu.
Aksu stated that Turkey exported goods worth of 80 million dollars to South African Republic, adding that Turkey's import from that country was around 200 million dollars.
Goksu stated that joint investment could be made between Izmir and South African Republic in many fields particularly tourism.
Mngqikana said in his part that they launched efforts to improve economic relations, adding that the relations between the two countries were important. ''During our two-day stay in Izmir, we'll organize country promotion meetings in Aegean Region Industry Chamber and Izmir Trade Chamber. We'll discuss with Turkish businessmen what we can do between the two countries in fields of tourism, industry, culture. The visits will contribute to the developments between the two countries,'' he said.
