EDIRNE - Security forces captured a total of 65 foreigners who crossed the border illegally in northwestern Edirne province in the last two days.
A total of 48 Palestinians, Afghans, Moroccans, Burmans, Iranians, Iraqis and Indians, who were trying to proceed to Greece illegally, were captured in Meric, Uzunkopru and Ipsala towns of Edirne.
Security forces also captured a total of six Mauritanians and Iranians, who entered from Bulgaria to Turkey illegally, in Kapikule district of Edirne.
A total of eight Afghans, who were trying to proceed to Bulgaria illegally, were captured in Lalapasa town.
Meanwhile, a total of five Mauritanians, who entered from Greece to Turkey illegally, were captured in Adasaranli village of Meric town.
Foreigners will be deported after legal procedures.
