ANKARA - Draft of National Program (NP) which was prepared within the coordination of Secretariat General for European Union (EU) was completed.
Draft of program will be presented to Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul in his return from Istanbul.
Sources said regarding NP, ''no lacking part remained. We did the best we could do.''
Following the approval of Council of Ministers, the draft is planned to be presented to authorized officials of EU within July.
NP, which was translated by the Secretariat, was prepared by taking into consideration of criticisms made by EU for the first UP and the views of non-governmental organizations and bureaucracy and national programs of other candidate countries, besides Accession Partnership Accord (APA) which was presented by EU.
Sources, who said that the structural change in NP was impressive, said that a calendar was set for concrete and detailed measures to confirm the determination of Turkey in membership to EU.
2003-2004 was set as due date for short-term measures and the end of 2005 for the middle-term measures in NP.
Detailed and concrete information regarding the administrative capacity for implementation took place in the new NP which was prepared systematically.
How much of the money for structural changes and reforms would be taken from national budget or EU funds was explained while more concrete expressions regarding financial sources took place in NP.
