Ziyal In Washington

WASHINGTON - Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal arrived in Washington on Monday to exchange views with high-ranking American officials about Turkish-American relations.
Ziyal said that such visits were normal within the scope of relations of two countries and added that he came to Washington as it was necessary.
Officials from Foreign Ministry and General Staff Headquarters were accompanying Ziyal.
Ziyal will meet with U.S. State Department Undersecretary Marc Grossman and U.S. President George W. Bush's Deputy Advisor for National Security Stephen Hadley today.
Ziyal will also meet with U.S. Undersecretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Alan Larson, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, officials of American-Turkish Council and representatives of Jewish lobby.
