ANKARA - Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal left Ankara for the United States on Sunday.
Ziyal will first go to Istanbul and then depart from the city for the United States.
Ugur Ziyal is expected to meet with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Marc Grossman and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Alan Larson.
Ziyal will also hold meetings with U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and U.S. President George W. Bush's Deputy Advisor for National Security Stephen Hadley.
He will reply to questions of journalists at the National Press Club and deliver a speech at the American Enterprise Institute.
Ziyal is scheduled to meet with representatives of American-Turkish Council, some members of the U.S. Congress and representatives of Jewish lobby.
