BAKU - Health Minister Recep Akdag said on Friday that during his meetings in Azerbaijan, they had decided to utilize the potential by forming a joint working group in field of health.
Speaking to the A.A correspondent, Akdag said that he was 'very pleased' to see that health services in Azerbaijan had been developing.
Noting that they would maintain their relations under the cooperation protocol which had earlier been signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan, Akdag said that he believed that Turkish businessmen who carried out successful activities in Azerbaijan would also contribute to process of development of medicine sector in Azerbaijan.
Akdag stated that during his meetings with Azerbaijani President Haydar Aliyev and Health Minister Ali Insanov, they had decided to consolidate bilateral relations and utilize the potential by forming a joint working group especially in field of health.
Recalling that a medical team that had come from Turkey carried out tuberculosis tests in the Agcabedi refugee camp, Akdag said that they would be later informed on the results of medical tests to be made in the Berde refugee camp. He added that even a tuberculosis case among 1,400 people in the refugee camps had not been diagnosed.
Health Minister Akdag and accompanying delegation are expected to leave Baku for Turkey early on Saturday.
