ADANA - Cumali Kizilkoca, who hurled two hand grenades to the U.S. Consulate in Adana on Wednesday, was sent to prison on Thursday.
Kizilkoca was sent to Adana prison by the Adana State Security Court (DGM) on duty.
The suspect was captured immediately after the attack. One of the bombs thrown in the garden of the consulate while the other was defused.
Kizilkoca had told police that he was using hashish and he had problems with his family.
Noting that he was affected by seeing that Muslims were killed in his dream, Kizilkoca confessed that he had staged the attack ''as a retaliation to the attack of Israel against Hamas.''
