ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met on Thursday with Council of Europe (COE) Commissioner Alvaro Gil-Robles for Human Rights.
After his meeting with Robles which lasted for a half hour, Gul replied to questions of reporters.
When reminded news stories which claimed that military officials criticized the government since it did not react to Greece's allegations that Turkish planes violated its airspace over the Aegean, Gul said, ''I did not read and hear those news. It is out of question that soldier is separate, General Staff is separate and the government is separate in Turkey. The government makes right statements for these kinds of criticisms.''
Asked whether coordination problem on national program with public institutions was overcome or not, Gul said, ''all problems were overcome.''
Gul said that national program was about to be completed and noted that he would see the first draft on Monday and distribute it to relevant ministers. He added that the program would reach its final shape after he got views of ministers.
