ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 902 million U.S. dollars between May 30 and June 6, 2003.
According to the Central Bank's weekly bulletin, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 28 billion 540 million U.S. dollars on May 30, decreased to 27 billion 638 million U.S. dollars on June 6.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations decreased 250 million U.S. dollars from 8 billion 774 million U.S. dollars to 8 billion 524 million U.S. dollars between May 16 and 23.
Meanwhile, the international reserves of Turkey comprising gold reserves and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations increased 527 million U.S. dollars from 37 billion 656 million U.S. dollars to 38 billion 183 million U.S. dollars between May 16 and 23.
