ANKARA - Banks' credit volume increased 251.2 trillion Turkish liras (TL) to 44 quadrillion 895.6 trillion TL between May 23 and 30, 2003.
The total credit volume at banks was 44 quadrillion 644.4 trillion TL on May 23.
The credits given to financial sector were composed of 846.2 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 1 quadrillion 488.4 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
The credits given to non-financial sector were composed of 195.9 trillion TL of loans given by Central Bank, 37 quadrillion 990.2 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 4 quadrillion 37.5 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
