Turkish Red Crescent Team Leaves Iraq For Turkey

BAGHDAD - Turkish Red Crescent's team in Baghdad left Iraq for Turkey on Tuesday for a temporary period.
The team, which has been in Iraq for a long time, completed preparatory works for restoration of two hospitals in Baghdad and Kirkuk.
Members of the team will go to Iraq again in the coming days.
Omer Tasli, the chief of Turkish Red Crescent's team in Iraq, told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that they had prepared a report about restoration of the hospitals and sent it to Turkish officials.
''Restoration of these two hospitals and medical equipment aid will cost about 8 million U.S. dollars,'' he said.
Meanwhile, Turkish officials have launched initiatives to bring a total of 100 patients from Iraq to Turkey for medical treatment through the Turkish Red Crescent.
Iraqi Red Crescent Foreign Affairs official Ahmet Tariq expressed their pleasure with Turkey's efforts.
