Turk-is Chairman Lodges Complaint Against Netherlands At Ilo

GENEVA - Confederation of Turkish Workers Labor Unions (Turk-Is) Chairman Salih Kilic on Wednesday lodged a complaint against the Netherlands which made deduction in pension of retired Turkish workers at the International Labor Organization (ILO) 91st session of Labor Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
Addressing the session, Kilic said that receivables of workers was one of the most important labor issues in Turkey, adding that receivables of workers who were members of the Confederation of Municipal Workers Labor Unions (Belediye-Is) had increased over to one hundred million U.S. dollars.
Recalling that the Netherlands had taken an important decision against retired Turkish workers, Kilic said that the Dutch government had deducted supplementary pension of Turkish citizens who had worked and retired in the Netherlands and later returned to Turkey.
''With this decision, the Netherlands violated ILO Convention no.118. I believe that the ILO would prevent this violation,'' he added.
