ANKARA - National Education Minister Huseyin Celik will go to Ireland on Thursday to hold meetings as the official guest of Irish Minister of Education and Science Noel Dempsey.
A statement of the National Education Ministry Press and Public Relations Office said on Wednesday that a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in field of education was foreseen to be signed at the end of official contacts.
The statement noted that educational cooperation fields were targeted to be programmed and future works were aimed to be increased during the meetings.
Promotion of education systems of both countries and cooperation of the two countries in the field of education; exchange of educationists, teachers and experts between the two countries; preparation of common reports after reciprocal working visits between the two countries; exchange of experts, information, education methods and materials; cooperation in training of teachers; providing mutual scholarships; providing a broader cooperation in higher education; implementation of sister primary and secondary school project; arrangement of youth and scouting activities and camps would be taken up during Celik's contacts, the statement added.
Celik will return to Turkey on June 14.
