EDIRNE - Security forces captured a total of 42 foreigners, who were trying to pass the border illegally, in northwestern Edirne province in the last two days.
A total of 31 Afghans, Somalians, Sri Lankans, Liberians, Rwandans, Sudanese and Tunisians, who were trying to proceed to Greece illegally, were captured in Yenikadin and Hoyuklutatar villages and Ipsala and Meric towns of Edirne.
Security forces captured six Somalians, who entered Turkey from Bulgaria illegally, in Uzgac village.
A total of five Moroccans, Tunisians and South Africans, who were trying to enter Turkey from Greece illegally, were also captured in Rahmanca village of Meric town.
Foreigners will be deported after legal procedures.
