Labor And Social Security Minister Basesgioglu Leaves For Switzerland To Participate In Ilo Session

ISTANBUL - Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu said on Sunday that they expected the new Labor Law, which was presented to the approval of President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, to be implemented soon.
Basesgioglu left for Switzerland to participate in 91st Session of International Labor Organization (ILO).
Basesgioglu held a news conference at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport prior to his departure for Switzerland. He said main item of this year's meeting was ''fight against poverty''.
Basesgioglu said, ''training and development of human rights, scope of employment relations, business health, and studies pertaining to ILO standards, and preparation of action plan'' were included in ILO Session agenda.
Basesgioglu said he would brief about the legal arrangements in labor life in Turkey, and the new Labor Law.
Stressing that EU Participant Countries Ministers Meeting would also take place during this year's meeting, Basesgioglu said for the first time a Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister would chair the meeting.
