Aloke Sen: We Want Turkey And India To Be Under Equal Trade Relations

KAYSERI - Indian Ambassador in Ankara Aloke Sen said on Saturday that they wanted Turkey and India to be under equal trade relations.
Speaking at a meeting, Aloke Sen said exports of India to Turkey was more than Turkey's exports to India, and stated that this was not their demand. Aloke Sen they did not want this to happen.
Aloke Sen they wanted Turkey and India to be under equal trade relations, stating that Turkey and India could increase their trade volume to one billion U.S. dollars if they had made cooperation.
Indian Embassy Trade Attache Subrata Bhattceharjee said there were nearly 300 million people in India whose level of income are in the level of European countries.
Stating that trade volume between Turkey and India was 634 million U.S. dollars last year, Bhattceharjee said they exported chemical products, leather, light machines, medical equipment, wool, and synthetic thread.
Bhattceharjee said Turkish industrialists and businessmen could export foodstuff, oil, olive oil and furniture to India.
