Police Confiscate Historical Artifacts In Konya

KONYA - Police confiscated historical artifacts in an operation in central Konya province on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house and seized necklace, earring, metal and bronze coins dating to Hellenistic Era; bronze statue belonging to Roman Era and Ottoman Era coins.
The owner of the house was detained in the operation.
Efforts are under way to capture two other people in connection with historical artifact smuggling.
