Turkey Expects Road Map To Be Put Into Practice As Soon As Possible

ANKARA - Turkey expects the sides in the Middle East to put into practice the road map together with its all elements as soon as possible.
Releasing a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday that Turkey welcomed U.S. President George W. Bush's latest initiatives that aimed to end clashes between Israelis and Palestinians, settle peace and stability and increase prosperity in the Middle East.
Noting that Turkey believed positive messages which had been given at the Sharm El Sheikh and Aqaba summits proved that problems in the region could be solved through dialogue and that peace was reachable for the peoples of the region who had been living in an atmosphere of clash and instability for years, the statement said that Turkey was now expecting the sides to implement the ''road map to peace'' together with its all elements as soon as possible.
The ministry stressed that it would be beneficial to enlarge efforts for peace in a way covering whole region in these days when hopes had increased for solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on basis of ''road map'' which foresaw a two-state solution where the sides could live in peace and security.
Noting that Turkey believed that a just, lasting and comprehensive peace in the Middle East might initiate a new period in the region, create opportunities of wide cooperation and eradicate radicalism and sources of terrorism, the Ministry added that Turkey was ready to support every effort with this objective and cooperate with all sides in building of a common future of the Middle East over which peace, stability and prosperity would be dominant.
