Free Society Party Formed

ANKARA - Free Society Party (OTP) was formed on Friday.
Closed People's Democracy Party (HADEP) leader and OTP Founder Committee member Ahmet Turan Demir came to Interior Ministry and presented the foundation application of the party.
Demir told reporters that leader of the party would be elected later.
Upon questions of reporters, Demir said that OTP was not the successor of closed HADEP and added that they would take basis some activities of HADEP. He said, ''we are a new party. We are coming from HADEP tradition, but we are not the successor of HADEP.''
When reminded about the closure case regarding Democratic People's Party (DEHAP), Demir said that they were against closing of the parties and they did not think of such a possibility.
