ANKARA - Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu will leave for Geneva, Switzerland on June 8 to attend the 91st Session of the International Labor Conference which is organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) every year.
Murat Basesgioglu will chair a meeting on ''Road Map of Decade, Tendencies, Models and Lessons Taken from Restructuring of Retirement System in EU Candidate Countries'' on June 10 in which labor ministers of EU candidate countries will participate. Basesgioglu will deliver a speech at the ILO General Assembly on June 12.
During his speech at the General Assembly, Basesgioglu will give information about new labor law and legal arrangements that have recently been made in labor field in Turkey.
During his stay in Geneva, Murat Basesgioglu will meet with ILO Director General Juan Somavia and ministers of several countries.
Confederation of Turkish Employers Unions (TISK) Chairman Bulent Pirler will represent Turkey on behalf of employers and Confederation of Turkish Workers Unions (Turk-Is) Chairman Salih Kilic will represent Turkey on behalf of workers.
Confederation of Rights and Workers Unions (Hak-Is) Chairman Salim Uslu, Confederation of Revolutionary Workers Unions (DISK) Chairman Suleyman Celebi and Confederation of Public Workers Unions (Kamu-Sen) Chairman Bircan Akyildiz will attend the 91st session as observers.
