Baranczak: Polish Firms Can Set Up Partnerships With Turks For Iraqi Tenders

IZMIR - Jaroslaw Baranczak, the Trade Attache of the Polish Embassy in Ankara said on Thursday that Polish firms were willing to take part in the reconstruction tenders in Iraq and they could set up partnerships with Turkish firms.
Baranczak visited Izmir Trade Chamber (IZTO) Executive Board President Ekrem Demirtas the same day. Noting that there was a trade volume of 900 million dollars between Turkey and Poland, Baranczak said that majority of the trade was made via Germany. ''Businessmen of the two countries don't know each other well. We must work to set up direct relations. We will again take part in the Izmir International Fair with our companies this year,'' said Baranczak.
Baranczak stated that Turkey knew Iraq better than Poland, adding that ''Polish firms can make cooperation with Turkish firms for tenders in Iraq.''
IZTO Executive Board President Demirtas said in his part that Poland had to take part in Izmir International Fair with as many firms as possible, adding that Polish firms could undertake common investments in Turkey in ship building.
