ANKARA - The parliament adopted on Wednesday the bill on foundation of National Boron and Boron Products Research Institute.
The discussions on the bill took place in the parliament general assembly last week.
The Institute whose short name will be BOREN will be based in Ankara. The Institute will carry out researches about broad usage of boron, its products and technology, production and development of new boron products. BOREN will have public legal entity and it will have administrative and financial autonomy.
Addressing the parliament after the adoption of the bill, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said that after BOREN, National Energy Institute and National Water Institute would also be set up. Guler stated that investment would be made in provinces where boron was abundant.
