Azerbaijani Oil To Come To Ceyhan In May 2005

ANKARA - Azerbaijan's Ambassador in Ankara Mehmet Nevruzoglu Aliyev on Wednesday expressed the uneasiness felt over some news reports in Turkish media about Azerbaijani Presidential elections and health of Azerbaijani President Haydar Aliyev.
Aliyev held a news conference and described the news reports in question as ''baseless and intentional''.
Stating that everything was on the right course on ''Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan'' project, Aliyev said the project would be completed at the end of 2004, and that the pipes would be filled with oil till May 2004. Aliyev said, ''Azerbaijani oil will come to Ceyhan in May 2005''.
Pointing out that Haydar Aliyev was the ''most powerful candidate'' to run for Presidential elections that would take place in Azerbaijan in October, the Ambassador said he was sure that Azerbaijani people was sure that Aliyev would win the elections.
Ambassador Aliyev said there would be observers from Turkey in elections.
Stating that health of President Aliyev was well, Azerbaijani President said news reports which appeared in media in this respect were not right.
The Ambassador said there was a Turkish doctor with Aliyev currently.
