Gul Meets With His Polish Counterpart

MADRID - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met with his Polish counterpart Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz when he was en route to Spanish capital Madrid to attend Spring Term Meetings of NATO Foreign Ministers.
Diplomatic sources said on Tuesday that Gul held a meeting with Cimoszewicz which lasted for half an hour in Frankfurt when both ministers were awaiting at the airport to change plane.
Gul exchanged views with his Polish counterpart about the decision of Poland to take place in the stability force in Iraq.
NATO had decided to support Poland, who would command an area in the south of Iraq.
Meanwhile, Gul chatted with U.S. State Department Undersecretary Marc Grossman, who is heading the U.S. delegation, before the North Atlantic Council Meeting started.
