ISTANBUL - One person was injured in an explosion that occurred in Bakirkoy district of Istanbul on Tuesday.
Sources told A.A correspondent that explosion occurred under an overpass on Sahil Kennedy Street as a vehicle carrying State Security Court (DGM) prosecutors was passing by.
Security forces took tight security measures in the vicinity after the blast which injured the driver of the vehicle named ''Huseyin''.
Istanbul DGM Prosecutor Aykut Cengiz Engin said that the target of the attack which took place in Bakirkoy district was the vehicle carrying DGM prosecutors.
Engin noted that driver of the vehicle was slightly injured in the explosion.
Many security officials have been sent to the spot after the blast.
Meanwhile, police officials stated that the blast could occur as earlier planted bomb was exploded by ''a remote control.''
