ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Monday that export, import and tourism revenues had been revised in line with the change in the current deficit target.
Babacan held a press conference that the expected current deficit was increased from 3.7 to 6.1 billion U.S. dollars.
In that context, export target was increased from 39.4 to 40.6 billion and import target rose from 53.8 to 55.4 billion U.S. dollars was tourism revenues target was decreased from 8.5 to 7.9 billion U.S. dollars, Babacan stated.
Babacan pointed out that social security laws could be a precondition for completion of fifth review.
The Central Bank was independent, Babacan said. But, he noted, it should not carry out its activities in an isolated way.
Babacan added that the Central Bank should work in line with targets set by the government.
