Exports From Turkey Increase By 30.7 Percent

ISTANBUL - Exports from Turkey increased by 30.7 percent to 3 billion 916 million U.S. dollars in May 2003.
According to figures of Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM), exports rose by 33.7 percent between January and May 2003.
Exports from Turkey increased from 13 billion 36 million 498 thousand to 17 billion 866 million 446 thousand U.S. dollars in the first five months of this year when compared with the same period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, exports rose by 28 percent to 40 billion 679 million 936 thousand U.S. dollars when June 1, 2001-May 31, 2003 period was taken into consideration.
