ISTANBUL - A group of members of Democratic People's Party (DEHAP), who attempted to make a press release in Beyoglu district of Istanbul on Sunday with the request of general amnesty, was dispersed by police.
Nearly 100 members of the DEHAP gathered in Beyoglu district and wanted to make a press release with the request of general amnesty and better conditions for Abdullah Ocalan, the head of terrorist organization PKK.
Security forces warned the group to disperse immediately.
After demonstrators insisted on not obeying the warning, police intervened in the group with K-9 dogs and teargas.
Clash erupted between demonstrators and security forces.
Later, members of the group dispersed.
