ANKARA - Central Bank's official reserve assets rose 396 million U.S. dollars to 28 billion 187 million U.S. dollars as of end of April.
The bank's official reserve assets were 27 billion 791 million U.S. dollars as of March 31.
Official reserve assets are comprised of foreign exchange reserves, IMF position, special draw rights (SDRs) and gold.
According to ''International Reserves and Foreign Exchange Liquidity'' figures released by the Central Bank as of April 30, 2003, official reserve assets were composed of 26 billion 538 million U.S. dollars of foreign exchange assets (convertible foreign currencies), 155 million U.S. dollars of IMF reserve position, 255 million U.S. dollars of SDR, and 1 billion 239 million U.S. dollars of gold.
On March 31, 2003, the bank's foreign exchange assets (convertible foreign currencies) were 26 billion 372 million U.S. dollars, IMF position was 153 million U.S. dollars, SDRs were 32 million U.S. dollars, and gold was 1 billion 234 million U.S. dollars.
