2003 Turkish Year Activities In Japan

EXHIBITION OF ''TURKISH WOMEN IN OTTOMAN ERA'' TO OPEN
ANKARA - An exhibition of ''Turkish Women, World of Women Enliven with Flowers and Art in Ottoman Empire Era'' will be opened under 2003 Turkish Year activities in Japan.
Releasing a statement, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Public and Press Relations Undersecretariat said on Sunday that the exhibition organized in cooperation of Directorate General of Cultural Inheritance and Museums and Yapi Kredi Culture and Art Publishing House Corp. would remain open till December 14, 2003.
The exhibition will be comprised of 334 historical works of art from the collection of Directorate General of Cultural Inheritance and Museums.
The exhibition will be displayed in five different cities of Japan.
Preparatory works for the exhibition lasted for about a year.
The main theme of the exhibition is announced as social and cultural life of women in the Ottoman Empire era.
