22nd Istanbul Book Fair To Open On October 25

ISTANBUL - The 22nd TUYAP Istanbul Book Fair will be opened at Istanbul's TUYAP Beylikduzu Fair and Congress Center on October 25, 2003.
Releasing a statement, TUYAP Fair Corp. said on Saturday that Tahsin Yucel was chosen as the honorary writer of this year's Istanbul Book Fair.
The main theme of this year's fair was announced as ''Urban Culture and Istanbul''.
The fair will remain open till November 2.
Nearly 300 publishing houses and more than 500 writers, artists, scientists, journalists and politicians will meet with bibliophiles during the activities.
