Torrential Rains Cause Flood In Erzin

ERZIN - Some village roads were closed to traffic and cultivated fields were damaged due to flood waters triggered by torrential rains in Erzin town of southern province of Hatay.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Saturday that roads to Yoncaduzu and Gokdere villages were closed to traffic due to flood waters triggered by torrential rains, which started overnight.
Highway teams have been expending efforts to clear the roads and re-open them to the traffic.
Provincial Directorate of Agriculture officials have been carrying out damage-assessment works in the cultivated fields.
Torrential rains also damaged power lines.
