Gonul: The Path That The Government Will Follow About The Eu Issue Is Clear

ANKARA - National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul said on Saturday that the path that the government would follow about the European Union (EU) issue was clear, adding, ''and it advances of this path.''
Replying questions of reporters about the sixth EU adjustment package, Gonul said that the package had been prepared by Ministry of Justice, and it had not come onto the agenda of the government yet.
When asked whether or not arrangements in the package would be taken up firstly at the National Security Council meeting or a compromise would be reached with soldiers earlier than this meeting, Gonul said, ''ask it to the Minister of Justice. It is totally an economic issue. The Ministry of Justice will fulfil what is required under the Maastrich criteria and the economy.''
Replying same questions, State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener said that international, political and economic relations had come onto the agenda of the Council of Ministers, and they had been discussed at its meeting and specific points of view had been determined.
Sener added, ''an implementation plan is found according to issue. It is a natural process.''
