SOFIA - A cooperation protocol was signed between Turkish and Bulgarian border police on Friday.
Bulgarian Border Police Chief Colonel Valeri Grigorov and Interior Ministry Coast Guard Commander Admiral Engin Heper, who is paying an official visit to this country, signed the protocol.
The protocol foresees protection of Turkish and Bulgarian territorial waters by coast guard teams and cooperation against every kind of smuggling.
According to the protocol, coast guard teams of the two countries will exercise jointly maneuvers, and mutual visits will be paid to further improve cooperation.
