ISTANBUL - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener said on Friday that the government, relevant institutions and bureaucrats monitored regularly economic developments and stated, ''all figures are going well.''
Following the meeting of Banks Association of Turkey (TTB) General Assembly, Sener told reporters that relations between Turkey and the United States were good after war.
Upon a question, Sener said that there was not any situation which could create concerns over foreign trade figures and noted that proportion of exports meeting imports was 71 percent when considering figures as of the first three months of this year.
Sener said that when looking at annual figures from 1996 to now, proportion of exports meeting imports was much lower than 71 percent and added that thus, there was no need for concerns over foreign trade balances.
