U.S. Asks For A Special Privilege For Kurds In Northern Iraq

AH- Circles close to the Washington Administration said that Ankara’s adoption about a special privileged situation for the Kurds in Northern was considered as a condition by Washington to improve the Turco-U.S. relations. Observers in Washington summarize the situation as a formation of a special privileged situation for Iraqi Kurds by approval of U.S.
The U.S. administration also asked from Turkey to accept this privilege, through the messages from diplomatic channels. The U.S. administration reportedly ensured Turkey in return that Kurds would not be given independence and terrorist formations in the region against Turkey would be prevented.
According to sources of the U.S. Administration, Washington does not want Turkey to continue her military presence in Iraq after the removal of the PKK /KADEK threat in the region.
