Dhkp/c Member Kartal Punished With Life Imprisonment

ISTANBUL - Member of terrorist ogranization Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) Ercan Kartal, who had been tried in various cases including Sabanci assassination and assassination attempt to Kenan Evren, was punished with life imprisonment on Wednesday.
According to the verdict of Istanbul State Security Court No.6, DHKP/C member Kartal was punished with life imprisonment on charges of various activities including the assassination of Sabanci Holding Automotive Group Chairman Ozdemir Sabanci, Toyota-Sa General Director Haluk Gorgun and secretary Nilgun Hasefe and assassination attempt to former President Kenan Evren. Court also decided that the execution of punishment would be carried out until the death of Kartal.
