BAGHDAD - Turkish Red Crescent team including Justice and Development Party (AK Party) deputy Cevdet Erdol held contacts with Iraqi Red Crescent officials and visited Errazi hospital on Wednesday.
Erdol told reporters that technical personnel were searching for the initiatives to rehabilitate the hospital.
They had not forgotten the assistance of Iraq, Erdol said and noted that they were in Iraq to be beside Iraqi people not in return for Iraq's assistance.
Erdol stated that they worked to find out which medicines and medical equipment were missing in Iraq and said that they could determine the extent of their assistance according to the demands of the Iraqi Red Crescent.
Noting that the Iraqi Red Crescent wanted some patients to continue their treatment in Turkey, Erdol said, ''we will see how many patients we can transfer to Turkey for treatment. We will take up this issue during our contacts. Turkey will do its best.''
Erdol pointed out that Turkish Red Crescent would send medical equipment and medicine to Errazi hospital in the direction of the report of the technical personnel.
They would also determine what they could do to repair the hospital, Erdol added.
