WASHINGTON - Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TUSIAD) delegation met on Tuesday with U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz.
Ozilhan responded to the questions of reporters following the meeting. He said, ''we discussed issues regarding relations between Turkey and the United States and what Turkey could do in Iraq.''
Ozilhan said during the talks in Washington, they got the message that ''the ball is on Turkey's side from now on'' and stated that the United States expected Turkey to expend support to several political developments in the Middle East.
Stating that Turkey has geographical advantages as being the neighbor of Iraq, Ozilhan said, ''it would be more economic to obtain equipment and goods from Turkey which Iraq needed.''
