Bomb Explosion In Istanbul Injures Two Policemen

ISTANBUL - An explosion which happened near State Security Court (DGM) in Besiktas district in Istanbul injured two police officers.
Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler said that a bomb, which was hidden in a saucepan in a bag caused the explosion.
Guler and Istanbul Police Chief Celalettin Cerrah visited police officer Mustafa Basar who was taken to Sisli Hospital after the explosion.
Guler said one of the policemen was injured in the leg and the other one was injured in the shoulder and hip.
Guler said a detailed statement would be made.
Tight security measures are taken around the Istanbul DGM.
