TUNCELI - The interrogation of four persons who were taken into custody in the clash that erupted between security forces and a group of terrorists in eastern Tunceli province on Saturday night, continues.
Tunceli Governor Ali Cafer Akyuz said on Sunday that the operation in the region continued following the clash that erupted between security forces and a group of terrorists who were members of MKP/HKO (Maoist Communist Party/People's Liberation Army) in the forest area of Dinar stream.
Akyuz said that Aycan Tato, was the woman terrorist who was killed in the operation, adding that the interrogation of the four persons who were taken into custody in connection with the clash continued. Operation which was started in the region to capture the terrorists who probably ran away from the scene continues.
Red Crescent's chairman and former DYP Tunceli's provincial head Mukadder Ceker was also among the ones who were taken into custody.
The terrorist organization MKP/HKO which was founded in Tunceli's rural areas in October 2002 acts as successor of terrorist organization TIKKO and it had 300 militants acting in Tunceli, Erzincan, Sivas, Tokat and Amasya regions.
