BURSA - Nearly 20 Turkish firms from Bursa, including Nergis, Sonmez and Zorlu groups, made investments in Bulgaria.
Bursa Industrialists and Businessmen Association (BUSIAD) Executive Board President Celal Beysel told A.A correspondent on Saturday that Turkish firms' making investment abroad should be considered normal and added that economically; tendency to decrease risks by ''putting eggs to different baskets'' was understandable.
Beysel commented that ''there is a bureaucracy in Turkey which is not reluctant to put obstacles before capital...It is impossible for firms to look future confidently as long as we do not overcome this. Our competition chance will be low, if we do not access to EU. If EU does not accept us, it will buy goods from cheap countries.''
Noting that industrialists slid a part of their investments abroad due to these problems, Beysel said that nearly 20 firms from Bursa, including Nergis, Sonmez and Zorlu groups, made investments in Bulgaria.
Beysel said that there was investment chance in Bulgaria until 2007 by when Bulgaria would be full member of EU and he added, ''being in Bulgaria means easy entrance to EU for Turkish industrialists.''
