ANKARA - Luc Dupen, the representative of Canadian Export Bank, said on Friday that Canadian companies were ready to invest in Turkey, however, decision-taking process was too long in Turkey.
Speaking at a panel discussion held at the Turkey-Canada Cooperation Meeting in Ankara's Hilton Hotel, Dupen said that they, as the Canadian Export Bank, were ready to continue cooperating with Turkey.
Dupen noted that Turkish firms had begun investing in Bulgaria, Northern Ireland and Caucasus due to economic crises of 2001 and 2002.
Meanwhile, Tunya Celasun, the foreign relations representative of World Bank Office in Turkey, said that the World Bank had been providing Turkey with source under the Country Assistance Strategy (CAS).
Celasun said, ''the World Bank made investments worth of 6.2 billion U.S. dollars in Turkey in the last three years. The CAS will be reviewed with the new government.''
