Nazarbayev: Not Many Casualties In Kazakhstan Quake

ANTALYA - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who came to southern Antalya province after wrapping up his official contacts in Ankara, said on Friday that there were not many casualties in the earthquake which occurred in the southeast of Kazakhstan.
Nazarbayev told reporters that three people died in the earthquake rocking the southeast of his country, but that there were not many casualties.
Three people died as the old houses made of sun-dried bricks collapsed, Nazarbayev said.
Nazarbayev noted that there was nothing to act rashly because he had given necessary instructions to the government and because necessary initiatives were being exerted.
He came to Antalya to spend a few days in order to bring more Kazakh citizens here, Nazarbayev added.
Nazarbayev and his wife later left for Simena Holiday Village in Camyuva hamlet of Kemer town.
