AH- Jalal Talabani, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), told on NTV channel that they had very positive meetings with the Turkish delegation in Iraq. Talabani said that wanted to reinforce the relations with Turkey. Talabani said that they were in Baghdad today with the help of Turkey and Turkish troops.
Answering a question on Kirkuk, Talabani said that the borders of the city should be maintained and that they were not increasing the Kurd population in the city, they wanted to put an end to the Arabianization of the city. Talabani said about the Kirkuk and Mosul problem that, Mosul was an Arab city and there were very few Turkomans and that the future of the cities would be determined by the Iraqis and the new Iraqi government, which would be freely elected.
Talabani said about interim government that, if interim government was founded in Iraq by June, it should be pleasing. Talabani said that, interim government should realize some duties for the permanent government, like the formation of a constitution and distribution of salaries to public employees. Being asked about the future of Iraq, Talabani said that they wanted democratic, united and federal Iraq.
Talabani said that, PKK-KADEK should be removed from Iraq and that Turkey should contribute the removal of terrorists from the region by declaration of an amnesty law including members of this organization.
