ANKARA - The Central Bank intervened in the foreign exchange market by buying foreign currency on Wednesday.
Releasing a statement, the bank recalled that it had intervened in the foreign exchange market by buying foreign currency on May 12.
''However, still the volatility in the exchange rate has been closely observed, and the Central Bank directly intervened in the market by buying foreign currency today,'' it said.
