ARBIL - A Foreign Ministry delegation met with officials of Peace Monitoring Force in Arbil on Friday.
The delegation headed by Ecvet Tezcan, who passed from Habur border gate near Silopi township of southeastern Sirnak province to Iraq on Thursday, met with Turkmens and U.S. military officials in Tall Afar town of Mosul.
The delegation who came from Tall Afar to Arbil met with officials in Peace Monitoring Force building.
Former Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad Selim Karaosmanoglu, who is one of members of the delegation, said that their contacts here were very positive and stated, ''we will meet with all circles here. We came to here to get information about developments. Opening of consulate general in Mosul was on the agenda before the war. We went there and received information.''
When asked what was the biggest problem of Turkmens, Karaosmanoglu said, ''we told Turkmens that they are cement of territorial integrity of Iraq.''
Foreign Ministry delegation will go to Salahaddin on Saturday and meet with officials of Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
