TUNIS - President Ahmet Necdet Sezer met with Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali on Thursday.
The meeting was held closed to press.
Before the meeting, Sezer told reporters that his first official visit in 2003 was to Tunisia.
Ben Ali said that they were very pleased with Sezer's visit to Tunisia and stated that relations in every field between the two countries would be further improved with President Sezer's visit.
Tunisian President Ben Ali said that they had a rich joint history with Turkish people and stated that the relations were further improving every year.
Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal, Turkish Ambassador to Tunisia Selah Koruturk and Presidential Foreign Affairs Chief Adviser Sermet Atacanli also attended the meeting.
